Sarawak State Legislative Assembly is the legislature of the oldest in Malaysia. It was founded by Raja Muda Charles Brooke, on the instructions of King James Brooke, the meeting is held in a small fishing village in Bintulu, Sarawak on September 8, 1867.
Sarawak State Legislative Assembly was known as the General Council (General Council) with the number of members elected 21 people. Members elected from among the heads of the local people thought to assist in administering the territories under colonial Brooke, who at the time it only covers the coastal areas.
